Ken is Managing Partner. He has practiced in Greensboro since 1973 and was licensed as a CPA in 1975. Ken holds an MBA from Auburn University and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Aquinas College. He also is a partner in Shahbaz Wealth Strategies, LLC and holds brokerage and insurance licenses. Ken is active in the Society of Financial Service Professionals and has been a long-time volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America at both the troop and council levels.

Michelle joined the firm in 2018. She went to Indiana University for her undergraduate degree and the University of West Georgia for graduate school. Michelle was a teacher for many years before joining Shahbaz Carothers. She enjoys meeting and talking to people.

Office Manager
With a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, Shirley joined the firm in 1992 after a career that included positions in banking, construction, law and accounting. She keeps the office and client services running.

He lives in Burlington, NC with his wife, Alina, and daughter. His oldest child is currently in college. His interests include reading, watching movies and spending time with his family, including his two beloved chihuahuas.

She has a strong background in bookkeeping and is an alumnus of Fayetteville State University and graduated Cum Laude from GTCC with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting in 2017. Adriana has been a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers since 2018 and Phi Theta Kappa since 2015.

Richard joined the firm Mid-2020. He graduated from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2019. He then remained at UNCG and obtained an Master of Science in Accounting the following year.
